We examine wallets starting at the code level and continue all the way up to the finished app that lives on your device. Provided below is an outline of each of these steps along with security tips for you and general test results.

Users can use Euro to buy various cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin. The multi-currency wallet provides the seed to unlock the private keys which are stored only on the device.
You can recover an existing wallet via the 24-word mnemonic or create a new one. You are asked to set a PIN and there is no need to register.
It would seem that non-custodial CoinCollect was formerly open source. They then changed their minds. They mentioned this in a Medium post. We noted this and posted a screenshot on twitter. As far as we can tell, the source is currently not publicly available.

Do your own research
In addition to reading our analysis, it is important to do your own checks. Before transferring any bitcoin to your wallet, look up reviews for the wallet you want to use. They should be easy to find. If they aren't, that itself is a reason to be extra careful.
