The following Analysis is not a full code review! We plan to make code reviews available in the future but even then it will never be a stamp of approval but rather a list of incidents and bad coding practice. We cannot find and tell you all the dark secrets the wallet providers might have.

Do your own research!

Try out searching for "lost bitcoins", "stole my money" or "scammers" together with the wallet's name, even if you think the wallet is generally trustworthy. For all the bigger wallets you will find accusations. Make sure you understand why they were made and if you are comfortable with the provider's reaction.

The Analysis

This app refers to as it’s website, which is highly suspicious for anybody knowing how the team “ticks”.

The last update of this wallet was 2017.

The latest user comments all report lost funds.

The provider answered to the highest rated such one-star comment:

login to same account using the AIRBITZ wallet, Bitcoin Pay is the receiving point of sale app, it doesn’t allow sending of funds, only accepting, this allows any waiter, point of sale or employee to accept BTC for the business without having access to those funds

implying a common provider with AIRBITZ in a way asking to enter Airbitz credentials in this wallet???

At the risk of being paranoid this smells too much like a scam with zero accountability to not call it defunct.

Verdict Explained

This app is no more. The provider removed it from Google Play and/or stopped supporting it.
