Do your own research!

Try out searching for "lost bitcoins", "stole my money" or "scammers" together with the wallet's name, even if you think the wallet is generally trustworthy. For all the bigger wallets you will find accusations. Make sure you understand why they were made and if you are comfortable with the provider's reaction.

The Analysis

It appears that users have to buy this app on Play Store.

CryptoTab Pro is a special version of the CryptoTab Browser, for everyone who wants to use all CryptoTab services directly on Android device.

CryptoTab Browser is an app that allows users to browse the web while mining cryptocurrencies. This sounds like a mobile version. But it’s unclear whether this is a wallet.

The Play Store description does not have a link to the official website. The Privacy Policy links to a website called cryptocompany.site.

Please always remember to use reliable services only when it comes to transactions. There are several well proven providers like Blockchain you can use to create a Bitcoin wallet.

This means that this product is not a wallet as you utilize external services. We mark this as not a wallet.

Verdict Explained

This appears to not be a product to receive and send money.

As part of our Methodology, we ask:

Is it a wallet? If not, we tag it No Wallet

If it’s called “wallet” but is actually only a portfolio tracker, we don’t look any deeper, assuming it is not meant to control funds. What has no funds, can’t lose your coins. It might still leak your financial history!

If you can “have” bitcoins in it but not actually receive or send them, then what really happens is that you can get exposure to the Bitcoin exchange rate but we still don’t consider it a wallet.
